Course Overview

The PALS course is designed for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in children. It covers recognition and treatment of conditions that may result in cardiac arrest in pediatric patients, the systematic approach to pediatric assessment, effective resuscitation, team dynamics, and post-cardiac arrest management.

Prerequisites

New Students

Current BLS Provider certification required. Recommended to review the PALS Provider Manual prior to class. Pre-course self-assessment must be completed.

Renewal Students

Current PALS Provider card. Must bring current provider card and current BLS card to class.

On-Site Training

E-Learning / Blended

HeartCode PALS online portion available. Complete Part 1 online, then attend skills session.
