Course Overview

The BLS Healthcare Provider course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. This course covers high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants; the use of an AED; ventilation with a barrier device, bag-mask device; rescue breathing; relief of choking; and team dynamics.

Prerequisites

New Students

No prerequisites. Students must be able to perform physical skills including kneeling over a manikin on the floor and performing chest compressions.

Renewal Students

Current BLS Provider card (within 30 days of expiration or recently expired). Must bring current provider card to class.

Training Options

On-Site Training

Available for groups of 10 or more at your facility. We bring all equipment and materials. Contact us at 773-445-2277 to schedule.

E-Learning / Blended

HeartCode BLS online portion available. Students complete Part 1 online, then attend an in-person skills session.
